We are proud to announce that we have achieved the highest standard, gold, for the Green Key sustainability certification!
To earn this certification, a company must meet strict criteria spread across 12 sustainability themes. Green Key has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
The standards are set by Stichting KMVK and comply with the international standards of Green Key International and FEE International.
Thanks to our commitment to sustainability, we have reached the highest standard. We continue to strive to maintain and improve this standard.
Initially, we were a bit sceptical about CO2 compensation. But after some research, we found it is indeed possible!
Thanks to Wim-Pieter Snoep, we have found a good partner in Tree-Planters to compensate for additional CO2. We are going to promote indigenous reforestation and landscape restoration along the beautiful Tiva River in Kenya. The aim is to contribute to biodiversity conservation and a healthy ecosystem.
We are also building our own “Marenland” forest in Malawi, and we are doing this not alone, but together with our valued guests, suppliers, and partners. Guests can offset their journey to Marenland during booking, and suppliers help offset the CO2 footprint of their deliveries to us!
We have joined the Koplopersproject through the Municipality of Het Hogeland. In this, we join forces with other progressive companies in the region to bring about positive change.
